This directory contains a set of impulse responses that were measured from an Alesis Microverb II digital reverb unit. The impulse responses were obtained by stimulating the input of the effect unit with a very narrow pulse, and recording the output of the effect, with the wet/dry mix set to 100% wet. These impulse responses may be used to recreate each reverb setting in software, using convolution. PCsound can perform convolution. See the readme file for info on CVANAL and CONVOLVE. At the time of writing, the official MIT Csound does not directly support convolution. DELAYS.TXT contains the initial delays that should be added to the impulse responses. I.e, the initial delay between the dry signal, and the start of the reverberated signal, has been cropped from the soundfiles, and must be restored. See the aforementioned PCsound readme file for details. Greg Sullivan sullivan@aussie.enet.dec.com 21-APR-1995
