Introduction
------------
This package gives you a quick overview what Midi2Cs can currently do
for you.
Midi2Cs is running on several systems. This example was done
with Windows 3.x on my computer. If you are running another
system like SunOS, IRIX, NeXT, Mac, you should get the binaries you need
at my Website. Please read my documentation.

I took 
 * one of my MIDIfiles
 * set up a projectfile
 * recorded and edited some samples
 * added the current DOS version Midi2Cs 0.94/3
 * added the complete Midi2Cs documentation with manual and FAQ 
 * added the best DOS version of Csound I could find 
That's all.

You should find the following files included
--------------------------------------------

readme.txt	The file you are currently reading :)

doit.bat	Call 'doit' and press the <ENTER> key.
                Midi2Cs will produce a score and an orchestra input
                file for use with Csound in the MS-DOS box on a
                Windows 3.x system. 
		Then Csound produces a WAVfile from this input.

midi2cs.pro	This is the projectfile. It contains all information
                the Midi2Cs program needs to generate input for
                Csound.

baerenta.mid	This is the MIDIfile used in this example.

midi2cs.cps	This file is not used in this example.

The directory 22050 contains some mono samples (22050Hz)
needed by this example.

BIN

The directory BIN contains a Midi2Cs and a Csound binary running
in the DOS box under Windows 3.x and a little batchfile cs.bat
that makes the handling of Csound a little easier.

DOCS
----
The directory DOCS contains all the documents I do have currently
at my Website at http://www.snafu.de/~rubo/songlab/midi2cs. Its
content changes about all three months, so that you should take
a look at it from time to time.
